What is a relaxed screening?

NCC, Autism Support Kilkeel (ASK) and ADHD Hub present Relaxed Screenings to increase access to cinema for people with neuro-diverse conditions and their families. To promote access, tickets are £2.50 per person.

Free Willy

A whale of a time is guaranteed, as NCC brings you the timeless, inspirational tale of 12 year old orphan Jesse, who befriends a captive Orca, Willy, at an ailing amusement park. When Jesse discovers that the park owner has been planning to dispose of Willy, he hatches a scheme to break Willy out of captivity.  A huge splash upon release in 1993, receiving positive attention from both critics & audiences alike; it ultimately grew into a successful small franchise, including an animated kids TV show, 2 sequels, not to mention inspiring the actual rehabilitation & release of Keiko, who starred as Willy. Family-friendly, never mawkish & skilfully paced throughout - it's an evergreen marine charm that definitely deserves a revisit.
