In 1918, a young woman on the brink of madness pursues stardom in a desperate attempt to escape the drudgery, isolation, and lovelessness of life on her parents' farm.

Friday Fright Night presents…The Lighthouse
Critically lauded upon release, this maddening, nightmarish black & white horror fantasy is an incredible work, bursting with haunting visuals, atmospherically gothic score & breathtaking performances from the 2 central leads.

Friday Fright Night presents…Infinity Pool
Brandon Cronenberg is quite the chip off the old block, doggedly pursuing a very singular cinematic style & vision not a million miles away from his revered dad, body horror maestro David. Infinity Pool is the follow up to his wonderfully unhinged debut POSSESSOR, and once again, this is a breathtakingly twisted, jaw-hits-the-floor sci-fi horror that stays with the viewer long after viewing.

Friday Fright Night presents…American Psycho
A wealthy New York City investment banking executive, Patrick Bateman, hides his alternate psychopathic ego from his co-workers and friends as he delves deeper into his violent, hedonistic fantasies.

Friday Fright Night presents…Talk to Me
Bringing in more domestic box office for A24 films than their flagship title Hereditary is no mean feat, but TTM is a special type of thriller.

Gremlins
Christmas isn’t Christmas without a mogwai and we all know the three rules of looking after a mogwai, don’t we? No sunlight, no water and no food after midnight. Of course, rules are there to be broken, so sit back and enjoy the mayhem and horror as the Gremlins emerge and take over the town.

Krampus
We’re going festive for this month’s FFN, nasty festive, that is. The horned demon of Alpine folklore - Krampus - is unwittingly evoked when Max (Emjay Anthony) is mocked by his dysfunctional family for his firm belief in Santa Claus.

Zombeavers
Winner of 3000 Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Adapted Screenplay, Zombeavers is one of the most revered movies of all time and its contribution to cinema is remarkable. This movie will have you intrigued & entranced from the outset, with its astounding depiction of undead beavers, not to mention the truly dazzling technical and narrative aspects throughout.

Cocaine Bear
Based on the incredible true story, director Elizabeth Banks’ crazy ursine romp through a forest in Georgia is an insane ride, and a ton of grizzly, grisly fun. Also the last film of the wonderful Ray Liotta, this highly unstable horror-comedy follows the titular American black bear who, having ingested the full load of an airborne drug-runner’s dumped stash, runs utterly, beserkly amok, chasing down the multiple oddball inhabitants of an idyllic forest park, whilst supremely charged on 75lb of uncut narcotics!

Smoking Causes Coughing
Entirely his own creation, Quentin Dupieux presents us with a madly surreal superhero world, where The Tobacco Five, feisty superhero vigilantes, are sent on a week-long retreat having successfully fought a demon turtle (as you do). Their ultimate commander, however, senses that their team spirit is waning, but before teambuilding can commence, their sojourn is disrupted when the Emperor of Evil, Lézardin, reveals his vile plot to destroy the planet Earth. Join us down the rabbit hole for this zany Gallic adventure.

The Cabinet of Dr Caligari
A silent film with live musical accompaniment.
Amazingly over 100 years old now, and still considered the very zenith of the German Expressionist cinematic movement, this freaky, churning feast is compulsory viewing for all cinephiles.

King On Screen
A fascinating deep-dive into the world of those brave directors, screenwriters & actors who have taken on big screen adaptations of Stephen King's infamous horror novels, and in doing so, have given us some of the most iconic scary movies ever to grace our cinemas.

Irish Ghost Stories
A traditional Halloween twofer on the 27th - firstly a rare screening of Eugene McPeake’s fantastically frightening anthology of six individual traditionally themed Irish ghost stories; expect chilling tales of spirits, spectres and other creatures of the night in this atmospheric (but not TOO scary!) ghostly feature….followed thereafter by our wonderful visiting professional storytellers.

Friday The 13th
"Welcome to idyllic Camp Crystal Lake..." Sean S Cunningham's game-changing teen slasher was the first ever indie movie to secure distribution investment from a major Hollywood studio, and it certainly delivered at the 1980 box office too, let alone setting the standard for new, graphic, terrifying horror, and a never-ending trail of inferior sequels.

Bodies, Bodies, Bodies
Another cracker from the superb production studio A24, this slasher horror-comedy joins a group of spoilt, self-obsessed Gen-Zs at a party in a mansion. Would you believe it…a hurricane breaks out just as they start their game of Murder in The Dark, which soon turns into a real murder mystery in the dark and worse of all - no wifi. With Scream deep in its DNA, this highly enjoyable gore fest is a perfect end of summer treat.

Boys From County Hell
Strange events unfold in Six Mile Hill – a sleepy Irish town that claims to have been travelled by the famed author Bram Stoker – when construction on a new road disrupts the alleged grave of Abhartach, a legendary Irish vampire said to have inspired Dracula. We love Irish horror comedies, and this one is a zinger - director Chris Baugh's vampire/folklore caper is bloody good craic - we'd stake our reputation on it!

John Carpenter’s ‘The Thing’ - 40 Year Anniversary
Classic Sci-Fi/Horror from the ‘Master of Horror’ John Carpenter. A research team in Antarctica is hunted by a shape-shifting alien that assumes the appearance of its victims.

Nosferatu
A silent film with live piano accompaniment. In 1922 one film changed cinema and defined screen terror. 100 years later, it continues to haunt and terrify audiences.

The Black Phone
This edge-of-your-seat horror follows Finney (Mason Thames), a 13 year old boy who finds himself kidnapped and locked in a soundproof prison by a clown-masked killer. Scared and alone, Finney discovers a disconnected phone that has a direct connection to the killer's previous victims. Ethan Hawke stars in this queasy blood-curdler from the pen of Joe Hill, Stephen King’s son

Nightmare Alley
Set in 1940’s New York, Stanton Carlisle (Bradley Cooper) burns down his home & joins a travelling carnival as a psychic medium. Whilst working alongside a clairvoyant (Toni Collett) and her mentalist husband, he acquires information that could change his luck. Visionary director Guillermo del Toro is back on form with this haunting noir-style psychological thriller.’
